GRADUATE COLLEGE

The integrated postgraduate college is based on the successful activities of the "Junior Scientist Faculty" of SFB-TR36. The purpose of this graduate college is to achieve postgraduate student education on a high level in the field of adoptive T cell therapy for tumor and viral diseases. Participating students are strongly encouraged to take personal responsibility to reach excellence in their field.
It is the specific scope of the SFB/TR 36 to connect basic research with clinical application. Thus, the two central aims of the graduate college are
1) to inspire interest and appreciation for research in the field of clinical and translational medicine in PhD students of the natural sciences
2) to motivate and train medical students to approach and solve questions in the field of basic biology.

To achieve these aims, theoretical and practical courses are being offered, organized by immunologists, biologist pharmacists and physicians. Additionally, students will receive close individual supervision for their research projects. The specific training program will advance considerably the students competitive value for a future carrier in translational medicine, bio-pharmaceutical industry or academia.
